OLATHE, Kan., March 13, 2024 – Heartland Soccer, the largest youth soccer league and tournament host in the United States, is excited to welcome back thousands of players and their families to the annual Heartland Spring Cup Powered by GameChanger. The event will take place this weekend, from March 15-17, 2024, at the world-class Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex.
In its third year, the Heartland Spring Cup has already grown to be one of the region’s top spring tournaments, attracting more than 145 teams from 8 different states, including Arkansas, Illinois, Kansas, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and South Dakota.
Shane Hackett, Executive Director of the Heartland Soccer Association, expressed enthusiasm about the tournament’s growth, stating, “This weekend, we extend a warm welcome to teams from across the Midwest, affording them the unique opportunity to showcase their skills at the GARMIN Olathe Soccer Complex, renowned for its world-class, all-turf, soccer-specific fields. Now in our 47th year, the continued expansion of our regional tournaments underscores the appeal of Heartland Soccer, drawing teams from the Midwest and beyond to compete across all levels. We are thrilled to host an abundance of soccer families this weekend.”
The Heartland Spring Cup will feature live streaming and playback of all matches at the Garmin Olathe Soccer Complex via VidSport, a cutting-edge technology provider, setting a new standard for sports streaming in North America. VidSport offers state-of-the-art cameras and AI technology, enabling fans to conveniently enjoy matches from their own devices, ensuring they never miss the action.
Media are invited to cover the event, with the first set of games starting at 5:30 PM on Friday, followed by games on Saturday and Sunday beginning at approximately 8:00 AM.
Looking ahead, the Heartland Soccer Association is gearing up for the Kansas City Champions Cup on April 12-14, hosting 415 teams from across the Midwest. Subsequent tournaments include the Midwest Mother’s Day Classic slated for May 10-12 and the Kansas City Invitational, running from May 24-26.
